SSC MTS Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Get details on the SSC MTS Exam Pattern and Syllabus for the upcoming Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar vacancies released by the Staff Selection Commission.
The SSC MTS 2025 exam is conducted for two posts: Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN). The selection process for MTS includes a single-stage Computer-Based Test (CBT). For Havaldar, it comprises CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
📚 SSC MTS Exam Pattern
The CBT consists of 90 questions for a total of 270 marks, with a time limit of 90 minutes. The subjects include:
- Numerical and Mathematical Ability (20 questions, 60 marks)
- Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving (20 questions, 60 marks)
- General Awareness (25 questions, 75 marks)
- English Language and Comprehension (25 questions, 75 marks)
As per the SSC MTS Exam Patter, there is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section II (General Awareness & English).
📚 SSC MTS Syllabus
- Maths: Covers basic arithmetic, percentages, time-distance, mensuration, geometry, etc.
- Reasoning: Includes series, analogy, direction, syllogism, and visual reasoning.
- General Awareness: Focuses on static GK, current affairs, polity, science, and sports.
- English: Tests grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence structure.
PET/PST (Only for Havaldar):
- PET: Walking 1600m in 15 mins (male), 1km in 20 mins (female).
- PST: Height – 157.5 cm (male), 152 cm (female); chest – 76 cm with 5 cm expansion (male only).
Relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
