AGACPS Approves 10 Development Projects Worth Rs. 87 Lakhs
AGACPS, a Government Scheme under the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Odisha has recently approved 10 developmental projects with a total cost of approximately Rs. 87 lakhs.
Bhubaneswar: A meeting of the Scrutiny Committee of Ama Gaurav Ama College Parichalana Sangathan (AGACPS), Higher Education Department, was held recently for the assessment and approval of project proposals submitted by various higher education institutions. The Committee carried out a detailed scrutiny and evaluation of the proposals and, after comprehensive discussion and careful examination, approved ten project proposals considering their feasibility and adherence to prescribed norms.
The approved projects include the renovation of classrooms, the installation of solar systems, the procurement of smart classroom infrastructure, the construction of administrative and meeting halls, the procurement of library books in accordance with the NEP syllabus, and the strengthening of alumni and institutional facilities.
Details of approved projects by AGACPS:
- Baba Panchalingeswar Degree College – Renovation of classrooms with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 3,00,000.
- Jagannath Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya – Completion of an additional classroom with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 2,00,000.
- Anchalika Kishan College – Installation of 5 kW and 3 kW solar systems with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 2,50,000. The solar installation will be executed through OREDA.
- Govindpur College – Procurement of smart panel, dual desks, panel enclosure and TV unit with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 3,99,840.
- Saheed Bhagat Singh Degree College – Construction of SAMS and Administrative Office with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 5, 00,000.
- Sri Satya Sai Degree College for Women – Construction of Staff and Students’ Meeting Hall with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 24,00,000.
- Jay Prakash Sandhya Degree Mahavidyalaya – Procurement of benches, stage beds and installation of air conditioners with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 2,33,500.
- Gopabandhu Anchalika Degree Mahavidyalaya – Procurement of water purifier-cum-cooler and library books under NEP syllabus with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 2,09,986.
- R.D.S Degree Mahavidyalaya – Procurement of furniture, sound system and air conditioners with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 11,67,066.
- Bonaigarh College – Procurement of amenities for the Alumni Cell-cum-Classroom with a sanctioned matching grant of Rs. 2,00,000.
The total donor contribution pledged by the colleges amounts to Rs. 29,30,196, while the total matching grant approved by AGACPS stands at Rs. 58,60,392. The cumulative project cost across all approved proposals is Rs. 87,90,590. The Scrutiny Committee reiterated its commitment to transparent, accountable, and need-based institutional development aimed at strengthening higher education infrastructure across the State.
